How Do You Make Chamomile Fertilizer For Plants?
Chamomile blossoms are beautiful and chamomile tea is famous for its relaxing qualities. Chamomile also has many other lesser known beneficial qualities, including serving as a wonderful plant fertilizer. Chamomile fertilizer is a great source of potash, calcium and sulfur, and is especially beneficial to give seedlings a boost. Place 1/2 cup of chamomile blossoms in a large mixing bowl. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan or teapot and pour the boiling water over the chamomile blossoms. Let the chamomile blossoms steep in the boiling water until the mixture completely cools. Strain the chamomile fertilizer into a spray bottle, straining two or three times if needed to remove all of the chamomile blossoms. Discard the chamomile blossoms or put them in a compost pile. Spray chamomile fertilizer on plants and young seedlings as needed. Chamomile fertilizer will keep up to a week or slightly longer if you store it in the refrigerator.
