How Do You Make Custom Fabric Shower Curtain?
A decorative fabric shower curtain can be expensive and hard to find. Even the best stores have limited choices, and let’s face it, haven’t we seen them all before? Making your own custom fabric shower curtain can save you money, fit your personal style and offer a satisfying sense of accomplishment with relatively little effort. Most shower curtains measure 72 inches by 72 inches. To make sure your shower is average size, measure the opening from left to right and from the rod to the floor, then add 2½ inches to the width for seam allowance and 6 inches to the length for hems. Measure the fabric and mark it using a washable fabric marker and a straight edge. For a 72-inch by 72-inch curtain, measure 37¼ inches wide and 78 inches in length, and mark the underside of the fabric along those lines. Cut the fabric along the cutting lines, making two pieces of equal size. Enclose the center seam by laying the fabric sections together with the wrong sides facing and sewing close to the edges
