Nothing takes off an autumn or winter chill like hot mulled cider. This recipe is especially easy to prepare and practically cooks itself. Serves six. Put brown sugar, cider, orange zest and cinnamon sticks in a Crock-Pot. Put allspice and whole cloves into a tea strainer and float it in the cider. Cover. Cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours. Serve from the pot using a ladle.
