How Do You Make Potato Chips Easily At Home?

0

Potato chips are fun and actually fairly easy to make at home. The size of the batch is dependent upon how many you wish to slice and make. Place a large frying pan on the stove. Cover the bottom of the frying pan with approximately 1/4 inch of oil (your choice – I use canola). I tried bacon grease, but the chip was really heavy. A light oil works better. Sprinkle a thin layer of spices on top of the oil and gently mix in. The spices you use are your choice and depend on what you want the chips to taste like. I don’t use salt because my husband has high blood pressure, but I still get a tasty chip by using a no salt, Greek seasoning blend. Mrs. Dash has a spicy mix that also works great. Turn the heat on under your pan to between Medium Low and Medium. You do not want the oil to get to hot or it will burn the chips. Your oil is ready when a slice of potato is placed in the pan and it sizzles. Peal 2 or more potatoes while the oil is heating. Wash the potatoes under cold water to remove
