Turkey stuffing is an American classic dish. It is very popular at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but can be served any time of year. Here is how. You will need to do a few minutes of prep work the night before, but the overall prep time is about 45 minutes with 20-30 minutes of cook time. You will need the following ingredients: approx. 18 slices of bread 2 cups chopped onion 2.5 cups chopped celery 2 cubes butter 2 teaspoons salt dash of pepper 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning pinch nutmeg (if desired) 2 eggs, beaten The night before you plan to make the stuffing, tear bread into pieces approximately 1″x1″. Let sit uncovered in glass baking pan overnight. The next day, saute veggies for 30 minutes in the butter. Let cool. Add remaining ingredients. Be sure that veggies are room temperature before adding eggs. Pour mixture over bread in the glass baking dish. Cook at 350 degrees until warm. It will usually take about 20-30 minutes.
