Once your tile and grout are installed, you must seal the grout to prevent moisture from seeping under the tile and ruining your foundation. A good seal also prevents staining and protects against mildew growth. Before your grout is sealed, mop and clean the floor to remove any dirt, dust and grime that have settled on the tile and the grout. Mix bleach and water in a bucket in equal proportions. Warm water is more effective in cleaning but not required. Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands from the chlorine bleach. Prolonged exposure, such as dipping hands into a bucket of bleach, leads to skin irritation. Dip the scrub brush in the solution. Scrub the grout with the brush thoroughly. The bristles penetrate into the pores of the grout to remove dirt and kill any mold or mildew that may be growing there. Dip the mop in the bucket and wri
