How Do You Name Document Image Files Stored On A Computer Server?

0

There are many reasons why it is better to store document image files on a dedicated server rather than keeping them on individual computers in a network. For one, servers are typically backed up on a regular basis, while individual computer hard drives may not be. Storing the files in a central location on a file server also allows multiple users to access the files at the same time–something that is not possible on standalone computers. Log on to the server and access the document image files. Make sure that the document imaging files are kept in a folder to which all users will have access. Name that file with a name that all those users will recognize. For instance, a folder containing blueprints for an upcoming product line should be named “Blueprints” or something similar. Right-click on “My Computer” and choose “Explore” from the drop-down list. this will open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the folder that contains the document image files you want to rename. Click on the “View”
