How Do You Place A Soy Candle Wick?
The placement of your wick affects how a soy candle burns. If the wick is too small, the candle burns unevenly and if it’s too big, it can smoke and leave soot on your candle container. Take a few extra minutes to measure and place a soy candle wick properly so that your candles burn safely. Measure the container. Place the container in the middle of a circle template (usually marked with a “bull’s-eye” or dark circle) to get the diameter of the candle container. Use the measurement at the widest part of the container to find the proper wick size. Grab a wick made for your candle container’s measurements. Wicks come measured in the proper diameter for certain sized candles. Remove the bottom side of the wick sticker to expose its sticky side. If you don’t have a wick sticker, double-sided tape works fine. Stick the wick sticker in the middle of the candle container.
