The Moringa oleifera is a versatile plant, one which offers almost every part as food source or other products useful to people. This heat loving, drought resistant and easy to grow tree is native to northern India. However, Moringa is now commonly found in other tropical and sub-tropical regions of Africa, Latin America, the Philippines and Asia. These trees can be grown from seeds. Moringa seedlings and saplings object vehemently to being disturbed and transplanted, so it’s best to plant seeds in permanent locations where you want for them to grow. Choose a well-drained sandy area in full sun. Dig a hole 1-foot deep with a 1-foot diameter. Mix one part composted cow manure with three parts soil removed from the hole.
