How Do You Pour A Small Concrete Pad?
The uses of a small concrete pad are many. From entryways to platforms for hot tubs, grills and garden sheds, installing a small concrete pad in the ground is essentially the same process as installing larger pads, such as those made for homes or driveways. With the correct tools and materials, you can install a small concrete pad affordably. Prepare the ground by digging out and raking away the topsoil, and leveling the area. Insert wooden stakes in the ground six inches away from where the corners of the pad will be. Dig a trench that is along the inside edge of the stakes and is six-inches deep and six-inches wide. Tamp down the bottom of the trench and fill up two inches with crushed rock and sand. This will allow for proper drainage. Build the concrete form inside of the trench using 2 x 8s.
