Two way mirrors can be disconcerting. You may think you are alone in a room, but someone is on the other side, watching you. Here are some easy ways to detect a two way mirror. Place your finger against the mirror. Is it touching the finger on the other side or is there a gap in between? If there is a gap, it’s a regular mirror. If there is not a gap, it’s either a two way mirror or a mirror made out of metal instead of glass. A normal mirror is hung on the wall, while a two way mirror is generally set into it. Is the wall even or above the edge of the mirror? If so, you may be looking at a two way mirror. You can also detect a two way mirror by knocking on it. If it sounds hollow, it may be a two way mirror. Place your hands around your face to make a shadowed area, blocking out the light from the room, and peer through the mirror. If it’s a two way mirror, you should be able to see the other side. You can also turn out the lights and shine a flashlight into the mirror. If it is a two
