How Do You Remove A Maytag Oven Door?
The Maytag corporation has been producing ovens and other appliances for more than 100 years. Now a division of Whirlpool, Maytag still continues to produce quality ovens. Many Maytag ovens feature a self-cleaning mode, which significantly reduces the time and effort necessary to clean the interior of the oven. However, the self-cleaning mode is not perfect, and the indoor of the oven must be periodically hand cleaned. Doing so is much easier if the door is first removed. Open the oven’s door until it is level with the ground. Locate the two door latches on the interior side of the door. A single latch is located at each corner of the bottom of the door. Release the two door latches. Each door latch consists of a hinged metal piece. Grasp the metal prong located on the top of each latch, where the latch meets the oven, then pull the latches upward, toward the door until each latch is in a vertical position.
