How Do You Remove Free Scan Spyware?
If you have ever had a pop up window or website appear while online telling you to download a “free spyware scanner” or telling you that your computer has a virus and you clicked on the window or “Download icon” you may have received a fake scanner that is actually spyware. Fortunately there are ways to remove these fake programs from your computer. Click on the “Start” menu button in Windows followed by “Control Panel.” Select “Add/Remove Programs” from the list of options within the “Control Panel.” Scroll down the list until you see the name of the “free scan” software. Click on the file name to highlight it and click on “Uninstall.” Click “OK” to confirm and restart the computer if prompted. If you do not know the name of the file or can’t find the file, proceed to Step 3. Download a legitimate spyware and adware removal program.
