How Do You Remove Furniture Scuffs On Laminate Wood Flooring?
Laminate flooring has become a favorite alternative to hardwood to beautify a home. Besides being affordable, it is very durable and attractive. Most laminate flooring contains a moisture protection layer on top of high density fiberboard (HDF). Although laminate floors are designed to be scratch resistant, typical wear and tear will eventually leave scuff marks from things like furniture and footwear. Fortunately there are several ways to attack these marks when they appear. Use alcohol or nail polish remover. Make sure the nail polish remover has acetone in it. Splash a small amount of either alcohol or polish remover on a rag, and scrub the mark clean. Try a pencil eraser. Use any old pencil eraser which is not colored to erase the furniture markings. Try a melamine foam sponge such as Mr. Clean’s Magic Eraser. Dampen the sponge, and scrub the scuff mark away.
