How Do You Remove Ink From Leather Before It Stains?
Dried-up and set-in ink stains are considerably more difficult to remove from leather surfaces than fresh stains, so quick, grab a towel before that ink sets on your favorite sofa! Any one of the below techniques should do the trick. Dampen a cloth with alcohol and gently rub it across the ink stain. Once the ink is transferred onto the towel, use another section of the towel and continue rubbing the stain. Keep using clean sections of the towel so you don’t redistribute the same ink back onto the leather. Always follow up an alcohol treatment with a leather conditioner. Spray the stain generously with glass cleaner and wipe with a towel. Wipe the stain with baby wipes. The ingredients in the wipes help to break down the stain and easily remove it from the leather. Rub a small amount of antibacterial gel into the stain. Let is sit for a few minutes and then rub it off.
