How Do You Remove Rust From Any Gas Tank?
Have a bunch of rust in your tank and the BB’s arent doing the job? Well this recipe will clean your gas tank right up! Remove gas tank from vehicle, motorcycle, etc. In this step we will using Muriatic Acid. Be extra careful with this because this is some pretty potent stuff. With that being said be sure that the rust in the gas tank has not rusted the metal out where the metal is very thin. If this happens and you pour the acid in the tank it well eat the rust and could quite possibly eat thru your tank. Pour the acid into the tank, plug all fuel lines, vents, etc., roll the tank around to get the acid to coat everything in the tank. Be careful not to shake the tank just ” slosh ” it around to get a good even coat. After you think you have a good coat lay the tank down outside and let it set 30 min to 1 hour.
