How do you remove the pegs holding in the guitar strings on an acoustic guitar?

After loosening the strings, you grasp the pegs with needlenose pliers and pull them straight out. You want to be very careful with the pliers so you don’t scratch the hell out of the bridge. If the peg looks like it won’t come out easily, then reach into the sound hole with your hand and push the pegs outward. Always keep a few extras pegs around in case you break the heads off of them in the process.
