Blot the urine stain as immediately as you can with a paper towel or clean white cloth. Keep blotting until as much of the urine has come out as possible. Dilute the urine stain with water. Use enough water to make the rug damp, but not so much that the rug becomes sopping wet. Blot the stain again with a paper towel or white cloth.
