How Do You Replace Toyota Tacoma Side Marker Lights?
Replacing the side marker on older Toyota Tacomas was not as complicated as replacing them on newer ones, since the side markers are now combined in the headlight assembly. Older Tacomas had separate marker assemblies that simply unbolted and popped the guide pin out to replace the bulbs. You can save a lot of money on labor by replacing the markers yourself, but it’s recommended to replace both sides while you’re at it. Remove the four screws on top of the radiator grille and remove the radiator grille. Remove the four screws (one on each side and one on each lower corner) of the bumper cover. Remove the two clips on each side of the bumper cover. Remove the center clip on top of the bumper cover (that the radiator grille was centered on). Remove the bumper cover. Remove the retainer clip of the bumper filler (located under each headlight assembly) and remove the bumper filler.
