How Do You Repurpose Sweaters Into Decorative Throw Pillows?

0

Repurposing things around the home has become more than a hobby. Living green is becoming a way of life for many people. Being able to turn something old into something new not only shows off our creativity, it also shows that green living is about more than recycling cans and newspapers. This is especially great for those of us who love the look of knitted or crocheted decorative throw pillows but lack the skills to do that. By using old sweaters, we get the same great effect and beauty but without having to know how to do either one of those. Cut sleeves off of old sweater. Keep these to use for other projects. Cut straight across top at the top of the sweater but under where the sleeves were. This creates your “case”. Turn inside out and sew top shut. A straight stitch will do here. Turn it back to right side out and insert pillow form. Sew bottom shut or sew on Velcro to make a closure if you want to be able to take it off and wash it.
