How Do You Reset A Network Key On A Linksys Router?
Any wireless connection should be password protected with a network key. This security measure keeps outsiders from using your Internet connection and accessing your personal files. When a user forgets what the network key is, however, that presents a problem. One common method of resetting the key is to use an ink pen or other sharp device to hold down the recessed “reset” button on the back of the router for at least 10 seconds. This will restore the router to factory defaults, allowing you to access it wirelessly without a network key. The downside to this is that it resets everything, requiring you to reconfigure your entire network. Step 1 Connect any computer to the router using an Ethernet cable.
