Microsoft Windows XP is an older operating system still used by some office and home user desktops. It requires a user name and password when logging into the computer. The administrator account is used to change important settings such as device drivers, network configurations and other user accounts. If you’ve forgotten the administrator password, you can log in with another user with admin rights and reset the password in the User Account tools.
