Knowing how to use the keyboard shortcuts or “hot keys” in Photoshop is really useful and can save a lot of time. Open Photoshop and a file of your choice to be resized. If you’re using a Mac, press Command Option I to open the Image Size dialogue. If your using a PC, press Control Alt I to open the dialogue. Enter the new dimensions you want to use. You can change your pixel dimensions, your document size and your resolution. You can move to the next field by pressing Tab. If you have styles applied to your image, check the “Scale Styles Box”. If you want your ratios remain the same, make sure that the “Constrain Proportions” box is checked. The third check box has a drop down menu that tells Photoshop how to resample your image. There are options for enlargement and reduction, among others. Select the one best suited to your needs. Press Return. Your image is resized.
