Heat created by a clothes dryer can safely be captured with a special attachment to the dryer vent pipe. Monitor a build-up of moisture when venting the dryer indoors. The filter unit will reduce the amount of lint that will become airborne when venting the dryer indoors. There are two types of dryer vent kits. One dryer vent kit is installed in the dryer duct when the duct is attached to the wall. The other is a filter unit that sits on the floor and the end of the dryer duct work is attached to the filter unit. Unscrew the screws that hold the dryer vent pipe in the exterior wall vent hole, and remove the pipe from the wall. The vent pipe may be attached with Phillips screws or hex screws, or a clamp tightened with a Phillips screw.
