How Do You Set Up A Basic Wireless Computer Network?
If you have more than one computer or want to use a laptop, a wireless network is one of the best ways to accomplish that. Fortunately, you don’t need a degree in engineering to set one up. Assuming that a cable modem, DSL or other high-speed device is already in use and connected to a desktop or laptop computer, unplug the ethernet cable from the back of the modem. Connect an ethernet line from the modem to your router. One end of the ethernet line will be plugged into the same location that was just disconnected in Step 1, and the other one will connect to the router’s input port (most routers have 5 ethernet ports; generally, the one that is set apart from the others is the input). While plugging in the ethernet connectors, make sure they snap into place and do not come out.
