How Do You Set Up A Kids Virtual Practice Center?
You know that learning games are an excellent way for kids to have fun while practicing/developing basic skills such as math facts, spelling of word lists, and telling time. You want your kids to be able to get on the computer with little or no guidance from you, BUT you don’t want them messing up your computer in the process. You need to set up a Kids’ Virtual Practice Center-a simple offline web page that is linked to the files your kids will need. Develop a list of games and learning activities that are stored on your computer (or they can be online if you know the URL) that you want your child to have quick access to during learning sessions or during their free time. Create a folder on your computer (anywhere you choose) to store the executable icons for these games and copy the icons to the folder.
