The more Java components that are added on to Internet Explorer, the more Internet Explorer will slow down. Here’s how to speed up Internet Explorer by disabling SSV Helper. In the Main Menu of Internet Explorer, click on Tools and select the Enable or Disable Add-ons option. You will see the Manage Add-ons window. Ensure that the Add-ons Currently Loaded in Internet Explorer option is selected in the Show area. Look for Java(tm) Plug-in SSV Helper in the list and select it with the mouse.
