How Do You Stall On Aggressive Skates Starting Out?

0

When you are a first timer a skate park can be pretty scary to you so heading on over to the mini ramp (A small half pipe as shown) is probably a good idea. Trying these tricks will increase your ability and trust in your ability, both good things. Drop in to the ramp and get used to riding down one side and up the other. You can exit the ramp, instead of turning around, and drop in again if that’s easier. While riding up try to get used to the feeling of your wheels riding over the coping. When your ready to try stalling instead of riding up and out of the ramp let the sole (middle) plate of your both skates catch on the coping. Lean back slightly to counter-act your forward momentum or you will just exit the ramp Hold the stall at about 70 degrees (so your front wheels almost touch the deck) bend your knees. Hold it as long as comfortable. Pop up and twist in the air 180 degrees. Don’t push back to much, just twist. While twisting lean forward so you are even with the roll of the ram
