Here are a few steps to help ease, and in some cases stop, the pain of a toothache (at least until you can get to a dentist). First thing to do is clean the tooth, with your toothbrush, using only water. Do not use toothpaste. Some toothpastes contain sugar and / or sugar alcohol and this will only worsen the toothache. Clove Oil works wonderfully. You can purchase this at most any health food store. Apply clove oil to a cotton ball until saturated. Place cotton ball on affected tooth and gently bite down.
