How Do You Stop Microsoft Word ” Requesting Virus Scan” Feature?

0

Are you are being slowed down by a virus-scanning feature in Microsoft Word? In this case, a virus scan is run every single time you open a file in Word, or a file that was created by a Macro. In the bottom left-hand corner, there is a message that reads: “Requesting Virus Scan.” This is often caused by a Word Plug-in in Norton Antivirus, which tends to slow down your system when opening documents. Read on to learn how to turn off this plug-in: Close all Microsoft Office applications. Launch Norton AntiVirus. If your Norton AV installation is part of the Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security, then open that program next. Click on “Options.” Click on “Miscellaneous” (or “General” depending on your Norton AV version) in the left pane. Go to “How to keep Microsoft Office documents protected,” in the right pane. Un-check “Enable Office plug-in.” Click OK. And you are done!
