How do you stop on normal 4 wheel roller blades?
i think that it is the toe of the roller blades i use to skate and i first started out on those and then every time i wanted to stop i thought i would fall on my face put the 2 roller blades you have to stop on the back of the heel which makes you think that you are falling on your head but hope that you have fun
Apparently most of the people think you are asking about quad skates. That is the name for the roller skates with 4 wheels in a rectangle. You just drag your toe, there is a rubber bumper there. Too obvious to be asking as a question. Since you called them roller blades, I am assuming that you are on inline skates. Almost all inline skates come with a heel brake. You can move it to the other foot if you are more comfortable with the left foot forward. It is the most effective method of stopping and is a low skill move. Scissors your feet with the brake skate forward – the farther forward you can get it, the faster you can stop. Lift the toe of the brake skate. Apply weight to the heel of the skate. It helps if you bend your knees while setting up for the stop.
