How Do You Study For A Vocab Test?
Have trouble remembering all those vocab words for school or a standardized test? A few simple tricks can help make studying more effective. First, make sure that you if your index cards are blank on one side and lined on the other (which most usually are) that you put the word on the blank side and the definition on the other. Use the same type of index card for each word and the same color pen or pencil for each card. If one is different, you will simply remember it for being different and not necessarily the word or the definition. Try to think of a one or two word description to summarize the longer definition. Write that quick phrase under the longer definition. Shuffle the cards so that they are in no particular order.
