How Do You Take Care Of Hollyhocks?
“Hi this is Yolanda Vanveen and in this segment we are going to learn all about how to grow hollyhocks. Now hollyhocks are found all over the world and they grow so easily and they are really really hardy plants that can be started by seed or you can start them by division. This particular plant is a rose mallow and it is related very closely to the hollyhock. It grows in the exact same manner so it has a big stem with lots of leaves and so it gets really tall with lots of flowers and then it will bloom all Summer and then it will die back in the Winter. So you can just cut the greenery back or you can start them by the root and they will reseed themselves all over you just have to be careful with them. They get huge, eight feet tall, gorgeous colors in the full hot sun and as long as they are doing great then leave them alone.
