How Do You Troubleshoot Maytag Window Air Conditioners?
Maytag air conditioners help control the temperature of rooms in your home during hot summer months. Though the air conditioning units run optimally under most conditions, you may occasionally have problems with the power, warm air coming out of the unit or ice forming on the air conditioner. These problems often do not require the assistance of a service technician. Troubleshoot your air conditioner to determine the problem and fix it yourself. Check that the power cord is securely plugged into the electrical outlet and that the power switch is in the “On” position. Plug another device into the electrical outlet to ensure it is working. If the other device does not work, check the fuse box for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker. Replace the fuse and reset the circuit breaker as needed. Wait for the air compressor to turn on if you shut off then turned on the air conditioner quickly or if you quickly switched the temperature control to a warmer setting and then a colder setting. T
