The PlayStation 2 (PS2) may be outdated, but many gamers still find it to be a dependable video game console that can bring fun and excitement into their lives. Like any electronic device used over a long period of time, a problem can develop in the mechanical or electronic components that will cause the PS2 to function erratically. You can troubleshoot the electronics and DVD drive of the PS2 first to determine whether you can repair it yourself before having to commit to the cost and time lost from taking it into a service center.
