ZIP archive files are a type of compressed computer file that actually contains many files inside of it. If you want to send a large amount of files to the same location, you can put them all in a ZIP and only send one file as opposed to a bunch. You can also password protect ZIP archive files so that just anyone can’t access the contents contained inside of an archive. To unlock a password protected ZIP file, you just need to input the password when you’re prompted to by your computer. Right-click on the password protected ZIP archive file. Click “Open.” Your computer will now try to display the contents of the ZIP archive file on screen. Realizing that the archive is password protected, before these contents display your computer will prompt you to enter the password.
