While making copies of copyrighted works is illegal and punishable by law, there are times when there are legitimate reasons to copy DVDs: distributing a presentation on DVD to attendees at a meeting, to share your home movies with family members, and to make safety copies of irreplaceable DVDs. Download HandBrake from www.versiontracker.com. Install the software by clicking on the image and dragging it into the APPLICATIONS folder. After installation, insert the DVD you want to copy into your drive. (If the DVD program launches, quit the application.) Drag HandBrake in to your dock for easy access. Launch HandBrake.
