• Power your computer on. • Insert the operating system’s Install DVD that came with your computer into the disk drive. • If you are using a MacBook Air computer, insert the MacBook Air Software Reinstall Drive into a USB port on your computer. • Press and hold down the “C” button on the keyboard as the computer is starting up to display the Install menu. • Click on the language you want to use throughout the installation process. • Click on the right arrow button to proceed to the next step. • Select the Utilities menu and click on “Desk Utility.” • Select “Macintosh HD” to erase your entire hard drive and wipe it clean. • If you have multiple volumes, or disks, on your computer, select the specific disk you want to wipe clean. • Click directly on the tab titled “Erase.” • Click on the “Erase” button, then click on “Erase” once again when the confirmation dialog box appears. • Click on “Quit Disk Utility” after your Mac has been wiped clean to return to the Install menu. • Click on “C
