How does a contractor get a license?
States license contractors and each state has its own licensing board with its own requirements. State laws differ on both the requirements for getting a license and the type of license that is needed for a particular job. I already have the contractor’s license in my name. However, I want to form a corporation. What do I do? Check out your state laws. In some states, you can get an application to transfer your license from your name into the company name.
