How does a mole know were it is digging to ?
A mole finds its way using magnetic fields and extremely acute hearing. It is the same navigation that is used by schools of fish swimming deep in the ocean, have you ever wondered why they all change direction at the same time?, this is why although they can see underwater they also rely on magnetic fields to find their way when the ocean is stirred up and visibility is zero.
