How does Capitol Broadband High-Speed Internet connect to the Internet?
Capitol Broadband High-Speed Internet service connects to the Internet through large fiber networks. The Internet signal is brought to your neighborhood’s wireless network by a portion of this fiber network. At our Central Router, the fiber optic signal is converted into an electrical signal that is carried over the air-waves on the same frequency that the 2.4 GHZ wireless phones use. The signal is received by the wireless modem that we supply you with which then convert the signal for connection to your computer’s Ethernet or USB port.
