How does cryotherapy feel compared to winter swimming?
In cryotherapy the skin is exposed to extremely low temperatures, but the water temperature is always above zero. The feeling of ‘wet’ cold is, however, much rougher on the skin. Cryotherapy is softer and easier to tolerate starting from the first session. The neurological stimulus is, however, much stronger. Fear is a factor which everyone has to overcome, but after the initial try, one realizes it is not too bad after all.
