DMIF V1 defines how to map DNI primitives into signaling messages when using Internet, with and without RSVP. The exact syntax of the DS messages is specified and covers the management of both UDP and TCP sockets. Extensions to cover the peculiarities of the RTP/RTCP connectivity are expected soon. For retrieval only services the mapping into RTSP is being defined, including support to RTP/RTCP.
