How does ESR compare with the Clock Spring® method of repair?
Clock Spring is an entirely valid method of repair for blunt defects such as corrosion and small dents. They do not claim to be able to repair crack-like defects, and there is some doubt about the axial support given to circumferencial defects. Internal defects are also a problem because Clock Spring has no leak-stopping capacity for subsequent through-wall growth.
