How does Furniture Grade Melamine compare with solid wood?
Furniture Grade Melamine, unlike solid wood, is dimensionally stable and does not warp, splinter or crack. COPS Closets uses 5/8″ thick furniture grade melamine that has 1.4mm radius edge-banding on three sides for a smooth, clean finish. (Some competitors offer an inferior ½” shelving that doesn’t hold up well to years of daily use.) Cleaning is a cinch when all you have to do is dust or wipe down with a damp cloth…no polishing required!
