How does GTL make money without charging a commission?
The same way that banks have made money dealing in foreign exchange for decades without commissions – GTL seeks to capture a portion of the bid/ask spread (the difference between the buy and sell price). The nominal costs of trading apply to traditional futures trading; GTL does not use an exchange for FOREX products and therefore does not need to charge extra fees to be profitable, whereas in case of exchange based futures products we charge very competitive commissions.
