You can get Incapacity Benefit even if you live with a full-time working partner earning £50,000 a year! Your partner and/or his/her income has nothing to do with it. It is not a ‘means tested’ benefit. Whether you qualify depends on your medical details/doctor willing to sign you as unfit for any type of work etc and also depends on your National Insurance contributions.
