How does LOS (Line of Sight) work in City of Heroes?

Line of Sight works as it sounds: If you cannot see something, you cannot use a power on it (in most cases). If your target is blocked or otherwise out of sight, you must move around the obstruction or get closer in order to use a power on it. Villains are subject to LoS just like Heroes are.
