How does McKesson select interns?
SYDP interns are selected based on recommendations from teachers, counselors or employers, enthusiasm, motivation, willingness to learn and upon performing well during their interview. Can I apply for the SYDP internship even if I’ve never had a job? Yes! The SYDP internship has been the first job for many of our past program participants. If I graduated from high school but am not a college student, can I still apply? Yes, you can still apply to SYDP if you recently graduated from high school but are not enrolled or haven’t decided on college. Do I need to take a drug test? Yes, all program interns will have to pass a standard drug test that will be administered prior to the start of the program. A drug test is mandatory for all McKesson employees nationwide. Where will I work? Approximately half of the SYDP interns are placed within McKesson’s corporate offices and half are placed with non-profit community organizations.
