How does MEM ensure secure network access?
MEM provides secure network access for all network management users via a centralized, integrated RADUIS server. In addition, this RADUIS server can be used to authenticate all users attempting to access Carrier Ethernet network elements. As well, MEM provides a security framework where all usernames and passwords can be centrally managed to allow authentication and authorization of users attempting to access MEM and the NEs. An overall administrator assigns user groups for specific functions. Access is based on the privileges assigned, and support for multiple simultaneous users is also provided.
